When weighing testosterone cream vs injections, start with what Pinnacle Wellness Group’s men’s HRT membership includes: prescribed testosterone cream or injections. Choosing between them is part of an individualized treatment discussion, with treatment decisions based on the provider’s clinical evaluation and laboratory findings.

How the two forms are used
Testosterone cream is applied to the skin. Injectable testosterone is given by injection. Pinnacle’s preparation guide explains that the choice of treatment form considers personal preferences, lifestyle and overall health.
The membership materials identify cream and injectable testosterone as the covered options for men. Your prescription and treatment plan are determined by the provider. Enrollment does not guarantee either formulation or continued medication.
Evaluation comes before the treatment plan
Your provider reviews your symptoms, medical history and lab work to decide whether treatment is appropriate. Pinnacle’s existing preparation guide advises patients to discuss current medications, existing medical conditions, previous treatments and surgeries, as well as their concerns and expectations.
Use that discussion to explain your preferences about treatment. The choice of a cream or injection remains part of the clinical plan.
Monitoring and side effects
Pinnacle’s male hormone consent requires regular blood work, including testosterone, estradiol, PSA and hematocrit, along with clinical follow-ups. Patients must also maintain a primary care physician for routine health screenings.
The consent’s listed risks include increased red blood cell count, acne, oily skin, fluid retention, breast tissue enlargement, testicular shrinkage and reduced sperm count or fertility. It also lists prostate enlargement or stimulation of an undiagnosed prostate cancer, and rare risks of blood clots, stroke or heart attack. Patients are instructed to communicate concerning issues to their provider.
Monitoring and discussion of potential side effects remain part of treatment. The agreement does not guarantee outcomes, and the consent states that results vary by individual.
What the membership covers
The initial physician evaluation is $250. The men’s membership is $179 per month and includes medical visits and prescribed testosterone cream or injections through Butterfield’s Pharmacy or Gardens Pharmacy. Medication is available for pickup or shipping.
Labs, imaging, additional procedures and medication obtained outside the partner pharmacies are excluded. Our TRT cost guide explains the billing terms, discounts and refill requirements.
Follow-up visits and refills
Pinnacle’s program describes office visits as usually occurring every four months, with in-person or telemedicine options. Lab work is required at least two weeks before the next visit.
Medication is prescribed as a three-month supply. Refills require current account payments, and patients should allow at least two business days when a refill is needed. Missing required labs may delay or prevent treatment or refills.
